My addition to Nurses open letter to oprah
I think Oprah can do what ever she likes with her Board with a couple of caveats...
We the fans... made her wealth without us she is nothing. Every time we click on this board Oprah makes money from residual income from all the advertising that surrounds us...
We are preaching to the choir. She knows that a large number of her fan base is disturbed by the endorsement of a political figure that to at least 50% of Americans believe is unqualified to lead. Her unfavorable's have gone up from 25% to over 60%... Her viewership is also down...This is directly related to this one endorsement that she has made.
Her attempt at a new site remains to be seen until the whole site is published...I will reserve my judgement on what she will ultimately have on there. However, I do not believe it is her best interest to limit any kind of political debate (unless of course you are not following her basic rules and I have read them and they seem fair when applied even handedly.)
Also I do not think that this is only a "healing or spiritual" site as has been mentioned. If it is then it is her responsibly to keep her political opinions to her private self and not bring them into her spiritual discussions. She did that big time....Oprah defended Obama during a spiritual discussion with Tolle. She set Tolle up to actually agree that Obama only meant...Blah Blah Blah... Oprah bought politics in full force onto this Board when it benefited her candidate...
She gets paid everytime we speak out...She then moves to limit political debate... I believe there are a few nations in the world right now that practice that kind of action. Even some fixed elections....
The Law of Cause and effect is a powerful Law. If in fact she believes what she preaches. The Law of attraction and the Law of Cause and Effect will take care of this little problem accordingly.
When the meat industry went after her...we the fans stood behind her and supported her. That also was a question of free speech...
To my dismay, it does not seem that she learned the right lessons from that or from her countless discussions with all these spiritual leaders she talks to. Makes me wonder if it is all a fraud.
Brings me back to what I keep saying about Obama supporters... Thier motto should be "DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO"

OPRAH MESSAGE BOARDS BLOCK CLINTON & MCCAIN SUPPORTERS & REMOVES THOUSANDS OF POLITICAL THREAD DISCUSSIONS
In the ultimate act of censorship, the Oprah Winfrey message board moderators have removed hundreds of thousands of political threads and blocked Mccain and Clinton supporters from posting on the once active Local Politics site. The Oprah Winfrey website is an integral part of the Oprah Winfrey show and magazine and includes a message board which has hundreds of topics for discussion, including the most popular, local and world news. The political threads at last count had 3/4 of a million views with thousands of active threads and discussions. The discussions were lively, informative, and at times heated as the posters worked their way through the historical primaries into the start of the general election. Many of the threads were picked up by media and local Internet news organizations, as was the " No More Burkas " thread about the disillusionment of women in the Democratic party. It seems now, in following a frightening Internet trend, Ms Winfrey , has decided to block political discussion, in hopes of securing her chosen candidates election to the Nation's highest office. The reason, to me at least, is that if the dissemination of information is blocked, Barack Obama has a better chance to win. Is this censorship of our basic first amendment right of Freedom of Speech, as well as shutting down active political dialog a mandate from the Obama camp or from the vocal supporters while the campaign stands in silent acquiescence? In either case it is disturbing and should give the American people a glimpse into a Barack Obama presidency.

RIP OPRAH BOARD FREE SPEECH
Anything that was in cyber space that was written against Obama is now gone!!!!! Whoosh.... with one felt swoop all of your intellectual propety and incredible debates are gone....
I saw that last night when I sent the email... That's why I winked...
Hey When you sign up nobody reads the fine print..but she says she can do whatever she wants with your ideas. It in effect becomes her property to to do with as she wishes. I know we all wrote some really good stuff. But it is Nurse that I feel the most for. She was actually getting recognized for some of writings... Nurse actually contributed over 4500 without ever getting banned. That means alot on that oard.
Oprah could not just arbitrarly ban Hillary supporters and Obama detrators so she did the nex best thing. She swept the board...
All of those posts that said that Obama terroist are all gone. Do you realize how many posts that was... With her abilty to remove post and it still took her over 4 days to erase them all....
If you write something that you would like to keep for your journals or future books that you want to publish... copy to a file on your hard drive..
Thanks or your research Tina... Im sure you have all read Tinas emails

OPRAH BOARDS WHAT IS GOING ON...REALLY?
Shocking behavior...no warming just bam, bam, bam and they are gone. I wonder what is really up Oprah's sleeve? Do you think that they are performing a colon cleasing...and we are being flushed down the Obama toilet? It is becoming scary...everywhere you look there is censorship and strange disappearing acts all over the internet. I have researched various topics pertaining to Obama and when I open up an article or newpaper article...they are no longer available...I must say David Axelrod must really have clout and lots of bribery cash...hmmmmmm.

Obama is puzzled.
Now he says that he does not understand how every word is carefully calibrated... Now he is playing the dumb victim.. Didn't his campaign do that to Bill Clinton and called him a racist?

MADE ME ALL WEEPY...
The tribute to Hillary Clinton someone put on this site with Dolly Parton singing, "I Will Always Love You" has me all teary-eyed. What a beautiful tribute. She is one great lady and her husband was one of the best Presidents this country has ever been privileged to have representing it.
Thanks to whomever put this Hillary tribute on the site. :)

PUMAS SAY NO DEAL TO UNITY MEETING
Obama had to finally admit where the big Unity Event would be held as the Press needed reservations and hotels. Unity, New Hampshire, a tiny town of 1500 residents and 37 square miles is not easy to get to. The big O rally will be held at an elementary school stocked with 2500 Obots. You have to have a ticket to get in and you must ride a shuttle from outside the town ( again with a ticket ) to get to town. PUMAS are organizing a protest rally but I would bet, we will NEVER see them. People attending have been told NO SIGNS ( WHEN HAS A POLITCAL RALLY EVER SAID NO TO SIGNS! ) You can keep up with it and read about it here.
http://pumaaction.com/ -- I wish one of us could go.lol- the PUMAS will probably be rounded up and dropped of in the forest! GO PUMAS!

Foreign policy architects could benefit from studying Winnie the Pooh and Star Wars, according to a Barack Obama adviser who is set to attend a meeting of the Democratic candidate’s national security work group Wednesday.
Richard Danzig, former Navy secretary under President Clinton, drew several creative and unusual analogies to explain the challenges America faces overseas during a foreign policy conference in Washington, D.C., last week, according to an article in the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
In arguing that the country should back off a policy that causes too much pain, Danzig said, “”Winnie the Pooh seems to me to be a fundamental text on national security

Harpo is there some reason why you are singleing me out. Your note to me said there were technical difficulties. Please send me the part of the thread that you consider to be offensive as compared to the numberous threads complimenting Obama and offending Clinton.
I am legally disabled and would like to know if you are singling me out for some "special' treatment. My attorney is sitting here with me and would like to observe your answer.

I am responding to your post inquiries. As we said, we notified you of the thread that was having technical issues. Then you mentioned two other threads to which I then responded asking you to send those links so we can look into those system errors as well.
I'm sorry you feel we are singling you out. That is never our intention. We are answering and addressing your questions and concerns about postings being removed. As we posted on numerous reminders to the board community, we do not allow postings which violate the Terms and Conditions. Those posts are removed.

Therefore, I was assuming that you were following me around since there was nothing offensive in the Thread that I posted. I posted information that is public information. There was no vularity, there was no attack on other posters... I am at a loss as to why you would be concerned about little old me.
Since I copied the whole thread in anticipation of it being removed per your practice of removing Threads that are not complimentary to Mz Winfrey candidate I can send you a copy if you would like.

HI, the thread was fine. I clicked into it to see what new posts there were since it said it was (updated) which tells me there are unread posts. Then I noticed the system error and notified you that I reported it. The technicans are looking at it right now and trying to figure out why it locked up like it did. Hopefully it can get resolved.
Then I saw your posts about the thread and therefore responded. We did not remove your posting. The message board system locked up on that thread for unknown reasons. Anyway, Hopefully it will be resolved soon. I'll let you know if I hear anything more on it.
Have a great night.

No Pro Obama posts
This is Hillary Clinton for President.
I will remove the pro McCain post about his pledge to add women to his government. I think however, that to post any Pro Obama post would be sacriligous.

My Picture
I put a pic on my profile. I feel a little weird showing my face after all of the terrible posts I've made...lol :)
This is my favorite picture of all time. It is of me and my two daughters when we were all younger. We weren't even dressed for the photographer. I had forgotten he was coming. But, it turned out to be my favorite photo. I am glad I didn't tell the photographer to come back another day. I like that we were just as we were and that I now have this picture of me and my girls.
We've been through a lot together over the years.

OPRAH MESSAGE BOARDS CENSORS ALL ANTI OBAMA POSTS
In the last several days, the Oprah message boards have deleted every anti-Obama post within seconds of posting. I have had 20 posts deleted today. I posted a quote of Obama from an audio tape that I have and it was deleted- the thread. I then posted a thread asking Harpo why it was removed, without re quoting the thread- and this was removed. I posted the Obama Rapid Responder talking points- and it was remved 3 seconds after posting. Greg and other republicans have told me their threads and posts are immediately removed as well. Anti Clinton and Mccain threads remain even if abuse is charged. This is WRONG as Orpahs boards are FUNDED by ads. These are the same dirty tricks that the media and Obama Campaign used against Clinton. Does anyone have an idea as to how to address this ( CHANGO ?) Please keep track of posts that are deleted. This whole Obama thing is getting scary folks !!!

HILLARY CLINTON SUPPORTERS NEW GROUPS
http://clintondems.com/- A GREAT SITE- MY GUESS IS THERE ARE SOME CLINTON INSIDERS HERE- PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION ON THE FRON PAGE.
CITIZENS FOR MCCAIN- JOE LIBERMAN STARTED THIS GROUP 2 DAYS AGO TO REACH OUT TO THE CLINTON SUPPORTERS. YOU CAN GO TO THE MCCAIN WEBSITE AND CLICK ON IT.
HERE IS THE EMAIL
From: Senator Joe Lieberman Date: June 5th, 2008 Today, I asked Senator McCain if I could create and chair a new grassroots organization, "Citizens for McCain." Citizens for McCain is an organization within the McCain campaign for people who put country before political party and support the candidate for President who has a proven record of bipartisanship. As you know, I caucus with the Democrats as a United States Senator and was the Democrat Party's nominee for Vice-President of the United States against President Bush and Vice President Cheney. But first and foremost, I am an American. I have an obligation to do what I think is best for our nation regardless of political party. My love for this country and strong belief in John McCain's character, judgment, and willingness to work with leaders of both parties has convinced me to support him for President. I have worked with John McCain for many years in the U.S. Senate and know from experience that he can unite Democrats, Republicans and Independents like no one else in this country. He did it in the United States Senate and he can do it as President of the United States. But we need help from McCain supporters such as you to reach out to Americans who are not currently involved in the campaign. Will you help us by recruiting your friends, family, and co-workers who may not consider themselves members of the Republican Party and ask them to join the Citizens for McCain organization? I am confident we will find many Democrats and Independents who, like John McCain and me, put country before political party and will support a leader with a real record of bipartisanship. Time and time again John McCain has put his country first. He refused early release when he was held captive in Vietnam. He continued to put his country first as a national leader in the U.S. Senate. He put country before party when he fought to pass campaign finance reform, sought a bi-partisan solution to the immigration problem, and consistently supported pro-environment policies. His courage to stand up to the failed Iraq war plan of Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and lead the fight for a new strategy in Iraq will go down in history, and it saved American lives. These were not always the easy things to do. In fact, they were usually very difficult, and often threatened his political career. But John McCain did what was right. He said it best in his speech in New Orleans on Tuesday night:
"(The American people) know I have a long record of bipartisan problem solving. They've seen me put our country before any President -- before any party -- before any special interest -- before my own interest. They might think me an imperfect servant of our country, which I surely am. But I am her servant first, last and always."
The phones at the campaign headquarters have been ringing with disaffected Democrats calling to say they believe Senator McCain has the experience, judgment, and bipartisanship necessary to lead our country in these difficult times. Many of these supporters are former supporters of Senator Clinton. Senator McCain has had a very good working relationship with Senator Clinton and will continue to do so in the future. In the same New Orleans speech he said:
"Senator Clinton has earned great respect for her tenacity and courage. The media often overlooked how compassionately she spoke to the concerns and dreams of millions of Americans, and she deserves a lot more appreciation than she sometimes received. As the father of three daughters, I owe her a debt for inspiring millions of women to believe there is no opportunity in this great country beyond their reach. I am proud to call her my friend."
I am proud to call John McCain my friend and ask you to help our friend become the next President of the United States. Please forward this email to your lists today and ask your friends, family, and coworkers who do not consider themselves Republicans to join me in filling out the Citizens for McCain form today.
If any of you traitors dare to vote for McCain in the Nov then you shouldn't be considered an American! Hillary lost fair and square. She's a loser, so just GET OVER IT. Maybe Father Pfleger was right about her after all. She feels she is entitled to the Presidency and all you sick minded supporters need some sort of pschological help so that you can realize that.

My Wonderful Friends
My daughter has been a wonderful help to me. She has been reading and writing for me. My son arrives today and he is no push over like she is. Also I will not have my little band of "traitors" to help me out.
I just want all of you to know that I am heart broken as I'm sure most of you are. I know that some of you will pick up and move over to Obama. It has already started on the O board. It has been very sad to hear the vitriolic disparaging of Senator McCain the same way that Obama supporters demeaned Senator Clinton. This from "Progressives" that will not kill a bug but will engage in age discrimination. Tomorrow I will be 59. It is painful to see that we as a country still have any kind of discrimination.
I am so proud to know all of you and to call you my friend. I am so proud of the way we supported our candidate. I would like to keep the Blog going to be able to communicate with each other. Frankly I want to keep the name if that is alright with all of you.
However, in order to adhere to the principles of fair play, integrity, and honor, I cannot at present support Senator Obama. I have asked several of his supporters to send me sound information so that I can take one last look at him with objectivity.
In the interim We have had a block meeting and a family meeting and have raise a few thousand dollars to send McCain on Friday after Clinton's speech. I hope that this will not change anything between us as I have come to treasure all of you.
See you next week, when the eye shields come off and so do the gloves.
What a Joke! Oprah!
Out of respect for the fact that the "O" board, is Oprah's own site after all. I decided I would voice my opinion on this matter here instead. This morning Baz reported that Oprah decided to finally speak for Obama "again". Apparently it was on the news this a.m., according to Baz's post, Oprah was "jumping for joy" said she is "thrilled" about his nomination and would be willing to go "door to door" for him if he asks her to.
What a joke! I know she has the right, just like any other American, to support whomever she chooses to. But, I find this quite amusing...First she comes out in all her glory to support him, showing up at events, etc. Then, when issues (dirt) start to finally come out on him and we see some vetting ,albeit quite late. "Poof" she disappears without a trace or word and has remained silent all this time, while punches were being thrown.
Now, after it appears he has the nomination, she's back...oh brother! No wonder she supports him, they're just alike, indecisive...at least in the publics eye. They go one way, then the other, depending on what will gain/lose them support. The same as BO was about T.U.C.C and Wright.
Again...What a Joke! Too bad my door would probably not be on that route!

HILLARY COLLECTABLES
If Hillary decides to run as an independent or never runs again. Or even if she runs as VP, please buy items from her store. It's a great way to contribue and get a slice of history. As the first woman to run a presidential campaign, her collectables will be very valuable.

PROBLEM WITH A POSTER ON THE "O" BOARD
I have not publicly said anything until now, but a poster on the "O" site has really been giving me a very hard time. Under the various screen names she has had over the past few months, she has sent me numerous PMs - terrible ones in which she was name-calling and angry that I had not responded to every post she had posted and that I did not answer particular posts the way she thought I should.
I do not share a lot of my private life, but I have a daughter who has been on chemotherapy for some time now. She has been very ill at times and had to undergo extensive surgery in which 4 surgeons had to be in the OR working on her at once about a month ago. It was very touch-and-go for a time and it was one of the most difficult times of my life. I have been taking care of my grandsons most days and some nights and working my job as well as taking care of my daughter and getting a little respite now and then on the message boards - because it is a respite for me - something I have always found relaxing and sort of takes me away to another place for a breather and a little friendship.
As my daughter was healing from surgery and began doing better, I was able to have a little more time to be on the message boards. Suddenly, I began receiving just awful PMs from this poster. She seemed angry that she did not have a cable TV and wanted me to look things up for her and send her links to online programs and provide her with information - something I am not too familiar with myself because I am not that computer saavy. I don't really know how to pull up a TV show as it is playing. Anyway, she called me a few choice names and told me that she had posted to a couple of my threads and then listed threads she wanted me to post to. She was sending me about 5 or 6 - sometimes more PMs every day.
At the time, on some days, I was at the hospital with my daughter and did not even come home or get on the computer at all. When I finally did get on the computer, I would have several nasty PMs waiting for me from this poster telling me I was ignoring her - how dare you think you can ignore me, etc.. I explained that my daughter was ill and that I had not been on my computer and that I was only able to spend a few minutes at a time on the computer when I was at home because I was spending a lot of time at the hospital. She responded with a very offensive PM and then, after saying some awful things, wanted to know the details of my daughter's illness. This is a person I do not even know, by the way. I responded to her post as kindly as I could, but did not go into detail about my daughter's illness. She wrote back saying something like, "I asked what was wrong with your daughter and you didn't even tell me," and then she went into an angry tirade in another PM and said I was a terrible "friend" and some other things.
I PMd her back and told her that I liked her and that I enjoyed her posts and that I tried to be supportive of her on the message board. I said I may have missed some of her posts because of my lack of time on the message board and also that I tended to go to the post posted last rather than to the beginning of the thread - I think most other people do that as well. I said that I could not be counted on to be on the message board when she may want me on the message board or to respond to every single post. I said I go onto the board as a respite and to relax with no pressures on me by other people and that I want to have the choice to be on the board and to respond to the threads that interest me, but that I would try to pay special attention to looking for her posts while I was on the board and try to respond to them.
She wrote back and was very hostile. She told me she had been banned several times and that she thought I did not speak up on her behalf enough. Most of the time, I did not even know she had been banned. But, the one time I did know, I actually did post in her defense asking for her to be given another chance.
There is a LOT MORE to this story, but suffice it to say it has been kind of a nightmare. So, tonight, she is under a new screen name on the "O" Board and asked about Hillary's speech. She apparently missed it on CNN which is where I saw it and which is where I told her that it was on as well as other news networks. She said she did not see it. So, someone had mentioned that it may be on You Tube, so I posted that information for her. I wrote:
"Someone said that they may be putting it up on You Tube...Check there."
This is her response to me:
"Nurse"lady", what a fake you are. You care nothing for anyone. No wonder you're a hit when no one has to be close to you."
I am not sure what she even means by this, but some of you do know her on this board and it is not my wish to offend any of you here on this board because I love my interactions with you and I consider you friends. So, I felt a need to let you know that I will no longer be responding to this person. It has nothing to do with anyone else, just her. If it seems like a problem or a disruption here, please let me know and I will remove myself. But, I just cannot allow this to continue with this person.

WHO MADE NANCY PELOSI SPEAKER OF THE DEMOCRACTS IN AMERICA?
Nancy Pelosi has stated that it is time to end the race for the Democratic nominee. She has appeared on MSM today stating that if the race is not over after this weekends primaries that she will step in and end it. I do not recall electing Nancy Pelosi to speak for me or for the other 17 million voters that support and voted for Senator Clinton. What Pelosi does not understand is that we WILL NOT VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA. Please email Pelosi today http://speaker.house.gov/contact/ and tell her how you feel about her interfering in the Democratic process. The Democratic Convention was set up to nominate a candidate and Pelosi is dead wrong to hijack the process. Her bias for Obama is unconscionable. This man cannot and will not be elected President.

Clinton rallies union in Puerto Rico
Posted: 08:15 PM ET
Clinton’s campaign is hoping to score a significant popular vote win in Puerto Rico.
PONCE, Puerto Rico (CNN) – Hillary Clinton held the most raucous rally of her Puerto Rico campaign swing on Monday in front of several hundred members of the Servidores Públicos Unidos union, who shimmied to live music before the event and cheered on the senator with chants of “Si se puede!”
The union operates as an affiliate of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, which has endorsed Clinton and spent millions on her campaign’s behalf. AFSCME President Gerald McEntee was on hand in Ponce to introduce Clinton, but he spent a good chunk of his speech soliciting boos for Barack Obama.
“Obama was here twice,” McEntee said, painting the Illinois senator as a Johnny-come-lately to the issues affecting Puerto Ricans. “Once to raise money. He was here for two hours, and he left, and he went on vacation. Then he came back this past weekend for two days, then he left again.”
An energetic Clinton, assisted by a translator, delivered a speech similar to others she has made on the island, pledging to offer economic incentives to the island, promising to resolve the issue of Puerto Rico’s status by the end of her first term, and reminding voters that she represents an estimated one million Puerto Ricans in New York.
In the middle of her remarks, as the audience chanted “Si se puede!” — a phrase that's been co-opted by Obama supporters — Clinton injected some Spanish of her own.

McCain Blasts Obama for Not Visiting Iraq Since ‘06, Challenging Joint Trip
by Associated Press
Monday, May 26, 2008
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Republican John McCain on Monday sharply criticized Democratic rival Barack Obama for not having been to Iraq since 2006, and said they should visit the war zone together.
“Look at what happened in the last two years since Senator Obama visited and declared the war lost,” the GOP presidential nominee-in-waiting told The Associated Press in an interview, noting that the Illinois senator’s last trip to Iraq came before the military buildup that is credited with curbing violence.
“He really has no experience or knowledge or judgment about the issue of Iraq and he has wanted to surrender for a long time,” the Arizona senator added. “If there was any other issue before the American people, and you hadn’t had anything to do with it in a couple of years, I think the American people would judge that very harshly.”
McCain, a Navy veteran and Vietnam prisoner of war, frequently argues that he’s the most qualified candidate to be a wartime commander in chief. In recent weeks, he has sought portray Obama, a first-term senator, as naive on foreign policy and not experienced enough to lead the military.

A Record For The Daily Kos........LOL
I was banned in less than a half-hour this time...lol
Here is the blog for which I was banned. Part of it is new and some of it you've already seen. I do have to say that I do not understand why I would have been banned again. There are 307 comments to my blog so far. They must've seen me comin' ... :)
Here it is:
As a former blogger at the "Daily Kos," I would like to say that I was disheartened at being banned from this site after I posted here as 2Nurselady and made positive comments about my candidate for President, Hillary Clinton.
Does the "Daily Kos" represent Barack Obama? It seems to me that there are few, if any, supporters of any candidate other than Barack Obama here. And, if it is that the "Daily Kos" is representing Barack Obama and is not giving a platform to people of a varying viewpoint or if they are blocking bloggers from responding to posters answering to a blog created by them, then I would say that this does not speak well for the "Daily Kos," for Barack Obama supporters, or for Barack Obama with regard to respecting true Democracy or with respect to mending any divisions within the Democratic Party. How can there be mending of division when Obama supporters and websites such as the "Daily Kos" will not even allow a Democratic debate in which variant views are discussed without banning, censoring, or silencing the party from the website with whom the powers-that-be may disagree?
I think this speaks volumes about Barack Obama and his supporters...and, it is a sad day for America when we cannot even talk and respect one another's perspectives, viewpoints, and opinions.
Barack Obama says he is a "UNITER." What is he uniting? I do not see him trying to unite the Democratic Party right now. I don't see him demonstrating leadership as the Party falls apart. I see already deep divisions being widened.
At this point, I really feel that I will not be too disheartened if the Democratic Party splits entirely. It is my opinion that its dismantling has already begun and that the DNC, Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, the Rules and Bylaws Committee, and the tabloid media each bear some responsibility for it.
There is a pretty large movement gaining momentum right now. Hillary Clinton supporters across the country are planning to vote for John McCain if Hillary Clinton is not on the November ballot. Some of us think it is worth the sacrifice over the next 4 years to stand up for what is right. Some of us think a vote for McCain would be more tolerable than to allow what has happened to Hillary Clinton, to those of us who support her, and to our fellow Democratic voters-in-good-faith in Michigan and Florida, to be swept under the carpet as if they did not matter.
Sometimes, you just have to do the right thing, even if it hurts.
I also suspect that it is Obama surrogates and supporters who are behind the latest unfair attack on Hillary Clinton in distorting her words regarding her historically accurate Bobby Kennedy reference in making a valid point backed up by history, in defending her RIGHT to remain in this race. It is my personal suspicion that these surrogates and supporters are being cheered on by Barack Obama behind the scenes while Barack Obama puts on a very different face regarding the subject in the public eye. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
As a lifelong Democrat, this is the first time in my history with the Democratic Party that I have come to feel that the Party no longer reflects my own principles. The Democratic Party I was once a part of cared about integrity, dignity, humanity and humanitarianism, our children, our families, our economic welfare, our impoverished, education, our relationships in the world community, justice, fairness, kindness, inclusion, our environment, and many other values we once held dear.
I believe we have lost a great piece of our collective self in this election.
We in this country have been very blessed to have leaders like Bill and Hillary Clinton who are responsible for bringing about profound and applicable change in our country and in the world that has given hope to many and which has given life back to some.
Some who remember the 1990s when the Clintons were in the White House surely remember the peace and prosperity that the Clintons brought us through their hard work and personal sacrifice, yet some have, unjustly and without cause, lashed out at the Clintons. They have been disrespectful, hateful, and disdainful, and disgracefully so.
What more could the Clintons have done for us? They gave so much - and Hillary Clinton who has given so much has proven herself an advocate of ALL OF THE PEOPLE. Why would those she worked the hardest for in the face of adversity and criticism against her turn their backs on her when she needed them? She was there for them when they needed her and so was Bill. These people know who they are. What they did was wrong and if they have consciences, they will long feel the pangs of what they have unfairly attempted to do. And, young people who do not remember the 1990s, the Clinton White House, and those great years we had in this country who are unfairly misjudging the Clintons will grow up to realize the wrong in their zeal against people who have done so much that is good.
Then, there is the tabloid media. Some in this type of unscrupulous media (CNN, MSNBC, and others, in my opinion) were against Hillary Clinton for one reason: because she was a woman. Misogyny at its worst and a display most sickening - and we women have watched it and many have kept silent about it. Why do we continue to allow this attack on ourselves? Whenever it happens to one of us, it happens to us all. The "Hillary Clinton Mad As Hell" video very clearly shows the misogyny that has taken place against us. Many of the faces and phrases in the video are familiar: Chris Matthews, Jack Cafferty, and others. It seems misogyny is still an acceptable form of discrimination in this new millenium.
I think that there are a lot of people who feel the way I do right now and we will stand on our principles and against what has happened in this election and we will be Democrats voting Republican in the November election if Hillary Clinton is not on the ballot.

OBAMA SUPPORTER TALKS ABOUT CINTON SUPPORTERS ON OBAMAS WEBSITE.
CHECK OUT THE LANGUAGE
"Be careful. The more intelligent your statement of support, the more fiercely you'll be acosted, insulted and belittled. Be prepared to be challenged by users that you haven't even addressed with words you did not write. As for me...I am but ONE...and that is all it takes sometimes to start a RAGING FIRE...ONE SPARK!
http://www.oprah.com/community/community/world/news?view=discussions
Feb 19, 2008...I'm staying behind the scenes til told to do something else. And yes, much hostility on these boards. His opponents are terrified. Can't figure out how to stop it. Negativity even helps. No on has seen anything like it before. When you read the excerpt, you'll know what they fear. A power beyond measure. The same that will be with you with this. FAVOR! Blessings
Feb 24, 2008...M______ is quite anti-Obama filled with fear...He believes that Mr. Obama is evil...but do not accept his crap either. Thanks for all your work on the thread. I do not think that I have seen so much negativity in my life.
Feb 24, 2008...It's beyond negative. It borders on "violent." I almost turned away from it because my intention in being here is not to satisfy some underlying fantasy of being a pundit. It is to teach and learn in a spirit that would promote a more informed and educated voter and that could further Obama's platform of unity...
The next two are clips from the last two messages that I received from kmdillard1 (her user name on Oprah's site), one of our field commanders who attended the Youngstown rally so as to bring back uplifting and positive news from the frontlines. If you visit and register on the Oprah site, look her up and fire a message of support her way. She and the folks their could all use it.
Feb 26, 2008...I would like to debate issues with these guys, but there is no debating!!! This is just bashing! None of these candidates are perfect, but certainly, Obama is not the spawn of satan they make him out to be! I don't know Rick! Hang in there!
Feb 28, 2008... Hi Rick, I did not receive an e-mail from you! I will keep looking for it! Forgive me this is short. And forgive me, I have been a bit negative on the boards lately. Those people were getting in my head and making me doubt myself and belief. I have been mean toward Hillary. I thought the Clinton supporters deserved to feel the way I did for a moment. It is not a good thing."

CALL DNC TODAY MESSAGE FOR HOWARD DEAN
Call the DNC at 202-863-8000. Ask to speak to Howard Deans assistant and you will be connected. Barack Obama plans a victory speech tonight to announce his majority delegate win. He has not reached the number necessary to win the nomination, yet this is another way to up stage Senator Clinton's primary wins as he did with the John Edwards endorsement. This is the last chance for the DNC to intercede and show neturality toward both campaigns. I spoke directly to Dean's assistant and she assured me that Barack Obama would not be making a victory speech tonight. Plan in advance what you want to say, tell her your name and the state you are calling from and how you feel Sen Clinton has been treated by the DNC, her own party. After you call, post here. Thanks

THE LATEST POLLS!!!
Monday, May 19th (today) ...PER REAL CLEAR POLITICS poll listings
ANOTHER AMAZING BLOW-OUT for Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama expected in KENTUCKY!!!
HILLARY CLINTON = 51
BARACK OBAMA = 25
Hillary Clinton expected to win with MORE THAN DOUBLE that of Obama!
OREGON - I thought Obama was supposed to be beating Hillary handily in the Oregon race, but he's not! Only a 4 point lead which I understand is tightening up. He will not come anywhere near in Oregon to her expected landslide win in Kentucky tomorrow! And, she could even win Oregon if things go right - it is so close. She will definitely get a good share of delegates, regardless. GO HILLARY!!!
As of now (soooooo close!):
Obama 45
Clinton 41
And, people act like there is this huge lead Obama has over Clinton in the National Polling for the Democratic Nomination. That is also not true. This morning, there is only a 2 point difference between them (Obama 46; Clinton 44), but I expect that, after her blow-out win in Kentucky tomorrow, that will change and Hillary may be tied or in the lead.
Michigan and Florida will be decided on May 31st. I have gone to Hillary's website and sent off my request for the DNC Rules Committee to count the votes of these voters as they cast them and to seat their delegates in the manner the VOTERS decided. I pointed out that Hillary has won the Democratic base, she has won swing states critical for the Democrats in the General Election, and she is tied with McCain in the polls while Barack Obama is losing to McCain in the polls:
General election -
Clinton 45
McCain 45
Mccain 45
Obama 44
There are also still around 230 superdelegates who have not pledged their votes yet. I think there is a reason for that. :)
HILLARY CLINTON 2009!!!

MCAIN SPOKESMAN FIRES BACK AT OBAMA
LADIES I HOPE YOU WILL FORGIVE ME BUT IF CLINTON DOES NOT WIN THE NOMINATION, I INTEND TO VOTE FOR McCAIN... I WOULD LIKE TO STRIKE A PROTEST VOTE BUT I CANT STAND OBAMA IN THE WHITEHOUSE...I AM UP THINKING ABOUT IT AT 3AM IN THE MORNING.. PLEASE KNOW THAT I HAVE YOUR BACKS IF ANYONE ATTACKS ANY OF YOU.
HERE IS WHAT THE McCAIN ADVISER SAID...
...McCain clearly intends to make a campaign issue out of AYERS and Obama's relationship.
Bounds said that "just a few years ago when Barack Obama was beginning his career in politics he was launching it at the home of William Ayers, an unrepentant domestic terrorist who his chief strategist said Senator Obama was certainly friendly with. If Barack Obama is going to make associations the issue, we look forward to the debate about Senator Obama's associations and what they say about his judgment and readiness to be commander in chief."

Preview of things to come - Obama said: “We can’t…eat as much as we want”

During a rally in Roseburg, Oregon on Saturday, Obama said: “We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,” Obama said. “That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen,” he added.
Someone already posted about this on the O board, thought I'd add it here too, it's been posted on a few sites but I especially loved the pic that was included on the Audacity of Deception and Hypocrisy's site.
Hypocrisy is Right!
I WAS BANNED FROM THE DAILY KOS
I have posted two blogs at THE DAILY KOS and after the second one which I posted this morning entitled, "The Old Male Guard: Still Alive and Well After All These Years," under "2Nurselady," I was banned.
My blog contained my own thoughts and opinions about what I believe to be blatant sexism in the current presidential election and questioned why, when Hillary Clinton had an agenda, including a healthcare plan, that was essentially identical to that of John Edwards and Barack Obama did not, John Edwards decided to endorse Barack Obama anyway. The reason seems clear to me as it may to many women other who have experienced gender discrimination and sexism in life.
I received numerous responses from DAILY KOS members on the website beneath my blog, I believe all of whom are Obama supporters, and most of the responses were negative with a few interspersed positive comments. I tried to answer some of the responses in order to have an actual debate, but was unable to do so.
I sent an e-mail to the site and received an e-mail back as follows:
You may email [Daily Kos] to plead your case for unbanning your account.
-j [Jeremy Bingham]
So, I sent the following message to the above-listed link:
"I was not aware that my account had been banned. Can you give me the reason? I posted a blog and tried to respond to some of the responses therein and was unable to do so. I would like an opportunity to debate and to answer some of the responses.
Thank You."
I have not yet heard anything back as of yet.

WHEN EVEN YOUR HUSBAND TURNS ON YOU
AS REPORTED ON FOXNEWS.COM
IS BILL SABOTAGING HIS WIFE?
In an attempt to draw supporters, the Clinton campaign sent the New York senator’s most popular surrogate to speak on her behalf, former President Clinton.
Faced with a vocal crowd of Obama backers, Bill Clinton all but abandoned typical campaign rhetoric. He mentioned his wife’s candidacy only briefly, and instead focused his comments on a call for party unity against the Republicans in November.
“Don’t you forget why you came here. You did not go to all this trouble to have an argument with each other,” Clinton said. “The argument is necessary so we can pick the best president and the most electable one. Those are the only two things that matter … After that, we have to get the show on the road, folks. We have a country to change and a future to secure.”

REBUPS HAVE BEEN RAILING AGAINST OBAMA
FOX NEWS TODAY REPORTS
Republicans Go to War With Obama Over Foreign Policy Views
Whether he meant to or not, President Bush, in his comments Thursday opposing diplomacy with despots, unleashed a torrent of GOP ire as prominent Republicans took the opportunity to pile on Barack Obama — treating Hillary Clinton as all but an afterthought.
The two-day food fight over foreign policy could be a preview of things to come, as Obama moves closer to wrapping up the Democratic nomination. Presumptive GOP nominee John McCain is already preparing for a general election fight against the Illinois senator, and their differences on diplomacy seemed to serve as a potent rallying cry for both Democrats and Republicans.
After Obama blasted both McCain and Bush on Friday for a failed go-it-alone policy in the Middle East, Republicans ripped Obama for his willingness to meet with nations like Iran without preconditions. The intense focus on national security was reminiscent of the 2004 presidential race between Bush and then-Democratic nominee John Kerry.
“You know, it would be a wonderful thing if we lived in a world where we don’t have enemies but that’s not the world we live in. And until Senator Obama understands that reality, the American people have every reason to doubt whether he has the strength and judgment and determination to keep us safe,” McCain said, calling Obama’s foreign policy “reckless.”
Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton said he thought Bush “hit the nail on the head yesterday in Jerusalem. And today, the nails started to complain. It’s not just naïve. It’s dangerous for our country.”

DID SHE REALLY DEFEND OBAMA TODAY?
Bush Speech Criticized as Attack on Obama
By SHERYL GAY STOLBERG
Published: May 16, 2008
JERUSALEM — President Bush used a speech to the Israeli Parliament on Thursday to denounce those who would negotiate with “terrorists and radicals” — a remark that was widely interpreted as a rebuke to Senator Obama the Democratic presidential contender, who has argued that the United States should talk directly with countries like Iran and Syria.
SHE ACTUALLY DEFENDED OBAMA TODAY? WHAT GIVES.. IS NO ONE TO CRITICIZE THE MESSIAH? DID SHE NOT SAY THE SAME THING A FEW MONTHS AGE? I AM SO ANGRY WITH HER RIGHT NOW....

OPEN LETTER TO HOWARD DEAN & DNC
OPEN LETTER TO DNC.
I am in contact with thousands of Hillary Clinton Supporters across the country. The way the MSM and her own party has treated her is unconscionable. The DNC should have taken a stand months ago about the misogynist reporting from CNN, MSBNC, NBC, and CBS. Yet, you stood by and let it happen. The Democratic Party, under the leadership of Howard Dean, have sold their souls to Move On dot org and with malice, promoted a man in an empty suit to the American Public that will never be elected President. You stood silent while the trashing of Senator Clinton took place and stood silent when the calls for her to 'drop out the race" were made, even though the delegate margin is small and 2.5 million Florida and Michigan voters have yet to have their voices heard and their votes counted. With several states yet to vote and with Senator Clinton in the lead, you remain silent about her victories. You stand silent while the call to sanction Senator Obama for violating DNC rules by advertising in Florida is made. You stand silent while a meeting to seat Florida and Michigan is called for May 31st, which will require more delegate count to secure the nomination. Instead of urging the superdelegates to wait, you urge them on to Obama. And in the most telling silence of all, you stood silent while Jessie Jackson Jr, called Black superdelegates and insisted they endorse Barack Obama based on race. We, the supporters of Senator Hillary Clinton are not as uneducated as you like to call us. Many of us are major donors to the Democratic party and hold advanced degrees. And what we know, Mr. Dean, is that you have allowed this party to split apart irrevocably. We will not vote for your chosen candidate. Senator Mccain will most probably win the majority of the Hispanic votes as well and Senator Obama will lose by the largest landslide in history. You reap what you sow.

HILLARY CLINTON MUST WIN THE NOMINATION
We have come so far and are so close. The MSM have done all that they can to thwart the nomination of Senator Clinton and have done a pretty good job but it is by no means over. Please join in with your thoughts and let's make sure Senator Clinton is the next President Of the United States.
